Affordable Housing

Financing Affordable Housing

Housing remains under pressure nationwide with supply shortages and rising costs. We view affordable housing as essential infrastructure for workforce stability and economic mobility.

We participate in federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs to provide capital for safe, high-quality housing—particularly in underinvested areas.

Our investments support new construction, rehabilitation, and mixed-income developments, delivering outcomes that strengthen local economies and support workforce retention.

RURAL GEORGIA HOUSING PORTFOLIO

Preserving Housing in Rural Georgia Communities

Our investment in a portfolio supporting 410 affordable homes across rural Georgia leveraged $22.5 million in state Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to preserve critical housing stock. The investment focuses on rehabilitating aging properties to improve living conditions, extend their useful life, and maintain long-term affordability. Beyond preservation, the investment strengthens community foundations—ensuring safe, quality housing for residents while promoting economic resilience and long-term sustainability across underserved regions of the state.

TIMBERS PRESERVATION

Expanding Opportunity Through Affordable Housing

Timbers Preservation, a new construction development in Wichita, Kansas, is transforming a legacy community into modern, accessible housing. Replacing aging structures with thoughtfully designed homes, the development delivers 40 units for residents earning up to 40% and 60% of area median income. Built with direct input from residents, these new homes better support individuals with significant disabilities, offering improved mobility and independence. With long-term HUD support ensuring lasting affordability, this effort helps preserve a vital community while creating safer, more dignified living environments for years to come.
